Love this place. Always clean and I’m never waiting long

Wanted to come on here and give positive feedback about Eve, one of the PBT employees on S Lamar. Eve is one of the most kind, welcoming, enjoyable and helpful employees I have ever encountered. I have been tanning at PBT since I was 18 (I’m almost 23 now) and I worked at PBT in college for 2 years. She never fails to have a positive attitude anytime I come into tan. She goes out of her way to recognize customers and learn them by name, ask them how there day is, and shows effort to build a caring relationship with them! Some days I get off work and am to tired to go tan, but I simply go just because seeing her is so enjoyable! Every time I come in (which is often) she is always doing something busy around the store. Whether it’s sweeping, cleaning beds, organizing lotion, checking customers in, etc. she is always on top of things! I used to work at PBT and I know it can be stressful at times, but when I say Eve always has an amazing attitude I mean it! If Eve moved locations in Austin, I would move with her LOL! Just wanted to recognize an amazing employee. ❤️

Beat place to tan close to DT. Fair prices, and the staff mention upsells and lotions, but in no way do they push that bs on you.Staff friendly, never packed, CLEAN, easy to park.Cost: about $30-45 a month based on quality of bed and $20 startup fee. I used a coupon and skipped the startup. All in all I spent $100 and got 2 months u limited in really good beds/stand ups.Check the website for coupons and bring the QR code.

Casey is my favorite human! She runs this place to the best of her ability and for this area with all these homeless folks around, it’s badass that she makes this place run smoothly.Houston was one of my favorites cuz he always greeted customers with extended hellos.Tripp and Crosby are new but really holding the fort down and I am not sure if Lexi is still working here but she always was super friendly.I would continue to come here but I’m not gonna lie I kind of wish they had massage chairs and stuff like some of the other ones.But overall I think the staff is what makes this place!!!

This place is great and friendly. Amy was very helpful in walking me through what my pale skin needed for the summer. The beds are really, really comfortable. Whole place is clean and don't have to worry about Covid or anything. Highly recommend!

Professionalism and customer service that other businesses need to emulate. Kristin was incredibly helpful and extremely knowledgable in the services and products offered. She gave me some great recommendations in regards to tanning and lotions; all without the typical salesperson's pressure. Thanks again!

I came here a few days ago after looking up a salon that would offer simple tanning. I was so surprised when they had a bunch of really cool features besides bed tanning. Sam, the manager was so cool, educational and gave great advice. I had never gotten a spray tan. I just got one and I feel like a golden goddess! She helped me pick a good bronzer and scents for my spray tan. I seriously love it. Aside from that, she helped me find some good lotions for face and body, without breaking the bank or feeling like she was just trying to sell me stuff! Love my products and my tan!! Will be making usual visits!! Also really clean and sanitized.

I went in to get some color before a vacation, didn't have the best initial experience, but called back the next day and spoke with Grace, she is THE BEST! super accommodating, friendly and helpful, the way she was able to turn my so-so intiial experience instead to a return customer, definitely would recommend this place to anyone.

I choose to give my business to PBT because of Sam. She is always so friendly, accurate, and fast. When I think about what it means to provide good customer service, I think of Sam. I am so happy I get to see her when I tan and I look forward to continuing to give PBT my business. Thank you, Sam!

Just want to say thank you to Aly. I walked in yesterday, a tired MomDad to a 9 year-old ;). She is professional, courteous, and a stellar representative for your shop. Oftentimes, businesses only hear the bag, but it's my hope management recognizes Aly as having the total package. She impresses me enough to leave this review. And, thank you to the darling manager who called me today :). Very happy customer and extremely pleased. I highly recommend tanning at the Palm. Glad to be back.

I am white as a ghost unless I spray tan, and Palm Beach has both the Versa and the Mystic which is helpful. Plus, the ladies that work there are super nice, especially Tiffany and Dixie. They always help me figure out which spray tan that I should do that day to get the best tan. Very helpful!

Always nice to have a little bit of color all year long. . . .I would just like to add too, the people that work at this location are friendly as ever. I have never had a bad experience...Two thumbs up!

The staff was knowledgeable about products sold by PBT but was clueless about sunless tanning and the corresponding products. She lacked knowledge of the different sunless tanning options and what type of tan they gave. She was however useful on showing me how to use the machine. With sunless tanning becoming more popular it would be extremely beneficial to offer education for all staff members about the different options and the type of payoff for each. I can no longer tan in tanning beds due to getting skin cancer in my early 20’s so spray tanning is my only option to get bronze. I’m still learning the ins and outs and all the tricks to the trade and it would just be nice to have the staff actually know about it and not just the tanning beds.

The Lamar beds are the best by far. The escarpment ones need some repair as many of the buttons are worn. William Cannon is ok but the staff at all the places are super nice and helpful. Just need new beds at the other two locations

I've been a few times but just came in to get a package for the month. I received the absolutely best customer service I have ever experienced at a tanning salon. The employee was extremely knowledgeable and gave me all my options without being pushy. She truly made it a great experience from the time I walked in the door to when I left. Just a plus that the beds are great and they also offer spa services and all for great pricing.

South Lamar, Austin location seems very cheap, worn down and dirty. The same lotion splatters remain on floors and walls for days at a time. Walls and doors have remnant staples and nail holes from old signs, mismatched paint and spackle all over, no salon music playing. Beds have bulbs out frequently- give you a hard time after you start a session and hop right out to get in another bed. Most techs greet you with "last name?" instead of a hello, welcome, or how are you. Overall it's okay, but just not the greatest.

Just not liking it as well as Darque tan. You never offer good specials on lotions and I had so much tan rewards that I lost. The spa services are gone and the employees I’ve encountered recently have been rude and short.
